A patient app used between visits at a university hospital's eating-disorder clinic

Dr. Yamauchi runs the eating-disorder outpatient clinic at Osaka Metropolitan University's hospital. His patients use Tabekatsu-chan, an app built on the Fluxweave Platform, to record symptoms, meals and daily activity, and the care team follows along between visits.

How the clinic uses it

Patients record symptoms, meals and daily activity on their phones, photos included. The care team can comment on entries and keep in touch between visits.

What the care team sees

On the web side, the team sees what patients send in on a large screen and charts just the data they need, so they get an accurate picture in less time. The records also feed the clinic's research.

Asthma programs on the same platform

The university's asthma programs run on the same platform, including ぜん快ちゃん for キッズ, a pediatric asthma app with a daily diary, a monthly control test and attack logging.

Programs and cohorts are a core part of the platform. The same engine runs Kenzai's fitness and nutrition programs.

「いつも携帯しているスマートフォンで簡便に詳細な記録ができることから、たべ活ちゃんは患者さんに好評です。」

“Because patients can record details easily on the smartphone they always carry, Tabekatsu-chan has been well received.”

Dr. Yamauchi, Department of Neuropsychiatry, Osaka Metropolitan University. Translated from Japanese.
