Managed or a custom build: how do we choose?
Managed when speed matters and the platform covers what you need; custom when you need to own the code or need something the platform doesn't do. We'll recommend one on the first call.
How quickly can we launch?
On Managed, in weeks: the core features are already built and running in production, so we configure and brand them instead of building from scratch. A custom build depends on scope. It starts with a Discovery Sprint, which ends with a fixed-price build proposal or a plan for a Dedicated Team.
Who owns the app?
On Managed, you own your data, users, brand and App Store listing; we own and run the platform. On a custom build, you own the code and IP. See Managed vs custom.
What does it cost?
Managed Apps are a monthly fee, set mainly by how many people use the app and which features it needs. Setup, branding, publishing and any custom features are scoped and priced up front. The first assessment is free. Custom work is a fixed-price build or a Dedicated Team. Fixed-price builds: the price is set at the end of Discovery and doesn't go up. See our prices.
Can we start on Managed and move later?
Yes. No long-term contract. Leave any time. If you move off the platform, we export your data and help you migrate to wherever you're going next. We charge only for any custom work the move needs.
