We publish our prices so you can judge the fit before the first call. All prices are before tax. Clients in Japan contract with フラックスウィーブ株式会社 (Fluxweave KK) and pay in yen.
To start
- Discovery Sprint: USD 5,000 (JPY 750,000) a week. 2 to 4 weeks. We define the problem, prototype it and build the riskiest part as working code. Half when you book, half on delivery, credited in full if you go ahead. What you get
- App Review: USD 2,500 (JPY 375,000). One week inside an app you already have, ending in a written report and a price to take it over. More
To build
After Discovery you choose one of two ways to buy:
- A fixed-price build. Priced at the end of Discovery. The price doesn't go up.
- A Dedicated Team, by the month. Developer time plus a lead, project management and QA. Half-time USD 5,000 (JPY 750,000), 1 developer USD 8,000 (JPY 1,200,000), 2 developers USD 16,000 (JPY 2,400,000) a month. 30 days' notice to stop or resize.
To run it
- Support: USD 1,000, 2,000 or 3,000 a month (JPY 150,000, 300,000 or 450,000) for 8, 16 or 24 hours, with security and OS updates, monitoring and fixes. Plans and response times
- Managed Apps: from USD 1,000 (JPY 150,000) a month, most business apps USD 2,000 to 5,000. We build and run the app for you; 180 days' notice of any price change. Setting up, branding and publishing are scoped and priced before we start. How it works
What it adds up to
A worked example, using the prices above. A business starts with a 2-week Discovery Sprint at USD 10,000, then keeps one developer for six months at USD 8,000 a month. The total is USD 48,000, because the Discovery fee is credited in full once you go ahead. After launch, Support 8 is USD 1,000 a month.
A Managed App works differently. Setting up, branding and publishing are scoped and priced before we start. After that, a typical business app is USD 2,000 a month, or USD 24,000 a year, with hosting, monitoring and updates included.
What we don't price
Custom builds before Discovery. Nobody knows what a build costs until the problem is defined, so we don't guess.
No long-term contract. Leave any time.
